Susan Dworkin (Fall 2003) is having a FREE reading from her new play, All Day Suckers, on Sunday March 9th. The play--in part a comedy--is about the relationship of a young woman and her ailing father's insurance company. March 9th, 6 pm at The WorkShop Theater, 312 W. 36th St, Floor W (rear elevator). Charles Barber has published a new book,Comfortably Numb: How Psychiatry is Medicating a Nation
Charlie's essay about his experiences as an intake worker at the Bellevue Men's Shelter, "Songs from the Black Chair," from the Spring 2004 issue of the BLR, was selected for inclusion in Pushcart's Best of The Small Presses 2005. It was also part of his book by the same name.

Peter Selgin (Fall 2003 and Fall 2006) was awarded the 2007 Flannery O'Connor award for his collection of short stories "Bodies of Water." The book will be published by the University of Georgia Press in 2008.

Diane Cameron (Fall 2006) was awarded the 2007 First Place Best Column award from the New York State Press Association.

Samuel Menashe (Spring 2004) was awarded a $50,000 Neglected Masters Award from the Poetry Foundation, along with. Billy Collins.
